Bike – Transition Bag T1
|
Pre-Race Morning
- Alarm 4hr before
- Breakfast (3-4hrs before)
- Wear warm clothes - Flipflops
- Timing chip and strap
- Pre-race snacks and hydration (up to 30min before race)
- Sports watch – HR Strap (charged)
- Sunscreen (applied the night before and on race day)
- Toilet Paper
- If early morning - headlight -> put in T2 transition run bag in case you are expecting to be out in the dark
- Check tire pressure
- Check gear setting for exit T1
- Shoes on pedals (if chose option) with elastic bands
- Bring miscellaneous repair kit (zip ties, super glue, spare tire, duct tape, elastic bands, scissors)
- Repair kit on bike: spare tubes, CO2 cartridges, tire levers, multi-tool
- Add Nutrition and hydration to bike and T1 bag– water bottles on the bike
- Electronic shifter batteries
- Bike computer and power meter (calibrated)
- Add nutrition and hydration to running T2 bag
- Tri-suit or swimsuit
- Wetsuit (if required) – plastic bags to get into the wetsuit
- Goggles (plus spare)
- Anti-fog solution
- Race Swim cap
- Body glide or Vaseline
- Towel
- Neoprene cap, gloves, or socks (if needed allowed)
- Ear plugs and nose clip (optional)
- Drop post-race bag in designated area
- Change of clothes
- Recovery nutrition (protein shake, snack)
- Hydration (water, sports drink)
- Flip-flops or comfortable shoes
- Compression gear (optional)
- Cash and credit card
- Phone and charger
